Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Taimoor Masood inaugurated Mini Hockey Stadium and new atro-turf at APS Model Town on Monday.
Director Admin Syed Omair Hasan, Director Sports Nadeem Qaiser, Deputy Directors Tariq Wattoo, Chand Parveen, Assistant Director Zahoor Ahmed, Administrator NPSC Gymnasium Hall Mustfa Shah, DSO Tanveer Shah and Rana Zaheer were also present on this occasion.
According to the details, Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Taimoor Masood inaugurated the Mini Hockey Stadium and new astroturf developed by Sports Board Punjab by playing a shot at APS Model Town.
Girls' and boys' hockey exhibition matches were also played on this occasion. National songs and anthems were also presented at the hockey stadium on the occasion of Independence Day. The enthusiastic hundreds of fans chanted Pakistan Zindabad slogans.
Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Taimoor Masood said that he is happy to inaugurate the new hockey arena. Hockey is our national sport and Sports Department is taking effective steps to promote it. The time is not far when the hockey game will be on the rise again. New hockey grounds are being constructed in various cities of Punjab.
