Legendary Dutch coach Roelant Oltmans’ two-week hockey training camp concludes

The two-week hockey training camp organized by Sports Board Punjab in collaboration with Rana Zaheer Hockey Academy has come to an end on Tuesday. Legendary Dutch coach Roelant Oltmans trained coaches and players on modern hockey during the camp.

Chief Guest Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Asadullah Faiz distributed certificates among the coaches and players at the closing ceremony held at National Hockey Stadium Pitch-2. Director Sports Nadeem Qaiser, Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan, Rana Zaheer and others were also present on this occasion.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Asadullah Faiz said that Sports Board Punjab has done an important job for the development of hockey by organizing a hockey training camp.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Asadullah Faiz said that legendary Dutch coach Roelant Oltmans has trained the players about modern hockey during the camp and this training will definitely improve the performance of our coaches and players. “The players have shown very good discipline in the camp.”

Addressing the ceremony, Dutch coach Roelant Oltmans said that the players and coaches in the camp have been trained with dedication and enthusiasm and I congratulate them all. “All the players participating in the camp are very talented and shining stars”.

He said that the world is moving forward in the field of hockey and the training camp organized by Sports Board Punjab would be a milestone for the development of hockey in Pakistan. “I am very happy to come to Pakistan. Pakistani people love sports. I will always remember the love I received here”.

It is worth mentioning that legend Dutch coach Roelant Oltmans has coached many countries including Netherlands, India and Malaysia in the past and Sports Board Punjab especially invited him to Pakistan for training of players and coaches.
