Programme of full-fledged sports activities will be announced in the next few days: Former Punjab Sports Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan

 Former Punjab Sports Minister and Member Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has expressed his determination to resume the sports development work from where it was disconnected some four years ago; he said this while talking to media personnel at National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.

Youngest snooker World Champion Ahsan Ramzan and other officials were also present on this occasion. Youngest snooker World Champion Ahsan Ramzan also called on Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan in his office.

Former Punjab Sports Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that the programme of full-fledged sports activities will be announced in the next few days. “We launched several modern sports projects and improved the sports infrastructure in the past. Now we are again in power and will complete the incomplete sports projects at the earliest”.

Former Punjab Sports Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that the Sports Endowment Fund was approved by our government and now it is time for talented athletes to take full benefit from this facility. “The national players will be provided all necessary help through the Endowment Fund”.

Former Punjab Sports Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz has been the chairman of Punjab Sports Board and the improvement in sports infrastructure is among his top priorities. “Effective measures will be taken for the promotion of sports in Punjab,” Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said.

Lauding the performance of the national hockey team, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said Pakistan boys exhibited wonderful performance against arch-rivals India in the opening match of on-going Asia Cup Hockey Tournament 2022 in Jakarta. “I’m quite hopeful that the Pakistan hockey team will present an even better performance in the next matches”.

Former Punjab Sports Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan also appreciated the historic world title-winning performance of young snooker star Ahsan Ramzan. “The entire Pakistan nation is proud of Ahsan Ramzan, who clinched the World Snooker title at such a young age. Ahsan started his sports career at Punjab Youth Festival as an eight-year boy. Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz will honour and encourage young World Snooker Champion in near future,” he revealed.

Youngest snooker World Champion Ahsan Ramzan on this occasion thanked Sports Board Punjab for encouraging him. “I would like to win more international laurels for the country in future. I’m fully focusing on my game to maintain my sequence of title winning performance in the future competitions,” he added.
