Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab on the directions of Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan organized a debate competition at Govt Boys High School No 1, Dera Ghazi Khan on Friday.
Divisional Sports Officer DG Khan Attaur Rehman, Ghulam Abbas Pitafi, Sh Amjad Hussain, Mazhar Ali Lashari and other notable personalities of the region were also present on this occasion.
Addressing the participants, Principal Govt Boys High School No 1 Ghulam Abbas Pitafi, who was chief guest on this occasion, said that it is need of the hour to spread the message of Allama Iqbal among the young generation.
Deputy Controller Educational Board Sh Amjad Hussain said the young students of the present era are to control the rein of the country and that’s why we need to put special emphasis on the character-building of our youth.
In his address, columnist Mazhar Ali Lashari said that a sufficient boost in academic activities can be witnessed in this region due to special interest of Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar and Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan which is highly appreciable.
M Kaif of Govt Boys High School No 1 got the first position in debate competition followed by M Shahbaz, M Aryan and M Luqman respectively. The position holder students will be given prizes on March 23.
