Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti and Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan greet Pak Blind cricket team for defeating India in the final of 3-Nation Blind T20 Cricket Tournament

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti and Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan, on Monday, congratulated Pakistan Blind cricket team over their remarkable victory against arch-rivals India in the final of 3-Nation Blind T20 Cricket Tournament at Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Pakistan inflicted a 58-run defeat on strong opponents India in the final of T20 Triangular International Tournament in the UAE where Bangladesh was the third team. Badar Munir was named Man of the Match for his magnificent all-round performance.

In his greeting message, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti lauded the performance of entire Blind cricket team particularly all-rounder Badar Munir, who contributed a match-winning innings of 63 runs off just 25 balls and took three wickets and top order batter Nisar Ali, who scored 70 runs off 51 balls. “Badar Munir and Nisar played a key role in taking Pakistan’s total to 216 for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs,” he added.

Showering praise on triumphant national Blind cricket team, Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan said defeating a strong Indian team in the final of 3-Nation Blind T20 Cricket Tournament is definitely a great achievement. “National Blind cricket team, who are 2-time world champions, made the whole nation proud through their marvelous performance in the title decider against India”.
