National Horse & Cattle Show sports competitions Azad Kashmir, Balochistan script narrow victories in volleyball event

Azad Kashmir stunned Sindh team by a narrow margin of 24-23 while Balochistan edged out Gilgit Baltistan by 25-20 after thrilling contest in two volleyball matches played at Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC) Gymnasium Hall on Thursday. Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan was the chief guest on this occasion.

Talking on this occasion, Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan lauded the exciting matches of Horse & Cattle Show sports competitions. “All the players are demonstrating wonderful national unity and brotherhood”.

It is worth-mentioning that the sports competitions of National Horse & Cattle Show are being held under the arrangements of Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab at different venues of Nishtar Park Sports Complex.

Kabaddi: Punjab defeated Gilgit Baltistan by the margin of 31-21 in a kabaddi match played in connection with National Horse & Cattle Show at Punjab Stadium on Thursday. Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan was the chief guest of the match.

The second kabaddi match of the day was played between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa players dominated the proceedings right from the beginning and won the match convincingly by a score of 42-22.

Expressing their views, players of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sports contingent said that Sports Board Punjab has made excellent arrangements for sports events of National Horse & Cattle Show. “We are grateful to Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan for extending best hospitality to all the participating provincial teams”.

The players of Azad Kashmir sports contingent expressed the gratitude by saying that Sports Board Punjab on the directions of Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan is providing nice food and residential facilities to all players and officials. The players of Gilgit Baltistan also expressed similar views regarding the facilities being provided by Sports Board Punjab.
