Trials of 73rd Punjab Games underway on the third day

National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday hosted Lahore Division’s hockey trials in connection with upcoming 73rd Punjab Games on the directions of Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan.

After the trials in all divisions of the province, the male and female teams of various games will be finalised for participation in 73rd edition of Punjab Games which will be organised at different venues of Lahore from January 24-27, 2022.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti in a statement on Wednesday said that the 73rd edition of Punjab Games is a valuable opportunity for emerging players of the province and they must avail this opportunity. “All the divisional and district selection committees have been directed to follow merit strictly while picking up the players for the grand event of Punjab Games”.

According to details, hundreds of male and female players participated in trials on the third day of the trials activity. Weightlifting and rugby trials were held in Multan while archery trials were conducted in Sargodha. Bahawalpur hosted baseball and football trials whereas female basketball players appeared in trials in DG Khan.
