Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan has congratulated Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and women allrounder Fatima Sana for winning coveted International Cricket Council (ICC) awards in their respective categories.
Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan in his greeting message on Monday said that fabulous ICC awards showed that our national male and female players have excelled in their respective departments throughout the calendar year. He expressed his hope that national men and women cricket players will continue their run of remarkable performances in future as well.
It may be noted here that Pakistan captain Babar Azam has been named ICC Men's ODI Cricketer of the Year for 2021, Shaheen Shah Afridi has won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Cricketer of the Year, Rizwan bagged ICC T20 Cricketer of the Year while Pakistan's Fatima Sana was named ICC Women's Emerging Cricketer of the Year.
