Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti has expressed profound grief on the sad demise of Olympian Abdul Waheed Khan, a member of the team that won Pakistan’s first hockey gold medal in 1960 Rome Olympic Games.
In a condolence message on Monday, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti stated: “May Allah Almighty shower His blessings and grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said legendary Olympian Abdul Waheed Khan was an asset of the country. His services for Pakistan’s hockey will be remembered for a long time.
