Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary Asif Bajwa said Sports Board Punjab always played a key role for the promotion of hockey across the province; he said this in a meeting with Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan at National Hockey Stadium here on Friday.
PHF Secretary Asif Bajwa said the ground 2 of National Hockey Stadium is in ideal shape for playing competitive hockey. “We have organized several training camps of our national junior and senior hockey teams at this ground in the past. This ground played a useful supportive role for our main venue - National Hockey Stadium”.
Lauding the role of Sports Board Punjab, PHF Secretary Asif Bajwa said Sports Board Punjab has always taken effective measures for the promotion of hockey under the leadership of Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan. “Sports Board Punjab has organized several big hockey events in recent past to provide talented male and female hockey players a suitable opportunity to express their potential. I’m quite confident that the game of hockey will once again get the same old popularity among the younger generation through these useful efforts,” he added.
He said that Sports Board Punjab is looking after all sports facilities including hockey grounds properly in the province. “Sports Board Punjab has provided excellent hockey facilities in all parts of the province.
