Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said that Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti will inaugurate the Inter-Provincial Boys Under-17 and Girls Under-16 Hockey and Inter-Provincial Boys Under-17 Weightlifting Tournaments at a colourful grand opening ceremony at National Hockey Stadium on November 2, 2021.

Revealing the details of two events Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh in a statement on Monday said that Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Fuad Hashim Rabbani, players, officials and captains of all the participating teams will also be present on this occasion.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said the grand opening ceremony of the Inter-Provincial Boys Under-17 and Girls Under-16 Hockey and Weightlifting Tournaments will be held at 2.00pm where the trophy unveiling ceremony will also be performed. Several Olympians and notable sports personalities will also grace the inaugural ceremony.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh informed that all the participating teams will take part in march past in the opening ceremony. “Inter-Provincial Boys Under-17 and Girls Under-16 Hockey teams will also play their opening matches on the first day of the event.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh further said the Inter-Provincial Boys Under-17 and Girls Under-16 Hockey Tournament will be played at National Hockey Stadium from Nov 2 to 5 while Inter-Provincial Boys Under-17 Weightlifting Tournament will be contested at weightlifting venue adjacent to NPSC Gymnasium Hall from Nov 2 to 4, 2021.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh further said that all the arrangements of the two events have been completed. “The teams from all provinces will take part in these events. We are quite upbeat to find several talented male and female players from these tournaments,” he added.
