A 15-member delegation of 49 Common officers called on Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh at National Hockey Stadium on Monday.
The officers of the 15-member delegation of 49 Common Batch also visited various parts of Nishtar Park Sports Complex and lauded the top class sports infrastructure established for the talented players of different games.
The officers of the delegation include Naila Nazar (Information Group), Fatima Tariq (Office Management Group), Hashim Masood (PAS), Saad bin Ubaid (PSP), Sehar Sarwar (IG), Sadaf Zaman (IRS), Usman Arif (PAS), Anam Wajeeha Awan (PAAS), Waqar Haider (PCS), Raheel (IRS), Malik Abbas Wattoo (PAAS), Arfa (IG), Nida (PAS), Aysha Siddiqua (PCS) and Rida Zahra (FSD).
The officers of 49 Common batch expressed their desire to play tennis and other games in Nishtar Park Sports Complex. Upon which Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh welcomed them to play any game at State of the Art sports facilities at Nishtar Park Sports Complex.
The officers of 49 Common Batch asked various questions particularly regarding decline of sports in the country. Assistant Director Raees ur Rehman and other officials were also present on this occasion.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh while answering different questions of the delegation said that the sports development work is underway across the province and now the sports prospects are gradually improving.
Highlighting the significance of the brain in a man’s life, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said it's the brain which commands all activities of an individual. So it is very important for a man to keep his/her focus on positive thoughts and activities.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh informed the delegation that Sports Board Punjab is fully following the policy of merit in its all affairs including selection of different sports teams etc. “We have advised all of our selection committees to follow merit when selecting male and female players for different tournaments.”
The officers of 49 Common Batch appreciated the growth of sports culture in the province under the leadership of Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh.
