SBP coaches, on the directions of Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, organize exhibition competitions at Punjab’s boys, girls athletics teams training cam

Sports Board Punjab’s coaches and trainers, on the directions of Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, organized exhibition competitions on the fourth day training camp of Punjab’s Under-17 Boys and Under-16 Girls athletics teams at Punjab Stadium here on Wednesday.

Fayyaz Bokhari, who coached Olympian javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem in Tokyo Olympics, gave tips to athletes regarding their game techniques and physical fitness during the camp. Female athletes Mareeb Malik, Rimsha Qayyum, Fatima, Kashaf Bashir, Muqaddas, Ruqayya Agha and Saira Bibi took part in 100m exhibition race on Wednesday. On the boys’ side, Majid Khan, Mohsin Raza, Bilal Ahmed, Ali Hasan and M Anees ran in 400m exhibition race.

It may be noted here that the week-long training camp of Punjab’s Under-17 Boys and Under-16 Girls athletics teams is being conducted for the preparation of upcoming Inter-Provincial Athletics Youth Tournament scheduled to be staged in Peshawar from Sept 27 to 29, 2021.

Punjab’s 22 male athletes are being trained in 100m, 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles, 800m, 110m hurdles, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, long jump, javelin throw, shot put and discus throw disciplines while 22 female athletes are being given training in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 100m hurdles, 4x100m relay, long jump, javelin throw, shot put and discus throw under the supervision of Camp Commandant Tariq Nazir and coaches Ijaz Abdul Khaliq, Allah Ditta Tahir, Ms Nasreen and Ms Sajida.
