Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab holds debate competition in connection with Independence Day

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said that the talented youth of the province can earn a respectable livelihood through e-Rozgaar Programme. Punjab govt initiated the e-Rozgaar Programme just to make the youth of the province self-reliant; he expressed these views at a largely-attended debate competition in connection with Independence Day at SBP E-Library Nishtar Park Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti was the chief guest of the ceremony. The debate competition was held under the banner of Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fuad Hashim Rabbani, Additional Secretary Sports Punjab Maria Tariq, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, Director General Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Sajid Latif, Director Admin Javed Chohan, CEO Enablers (e-Commerce) Saqib Azhar and other officials were also present on this occasion.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fuad Hashim Rabbani, Director General Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Sajid Latif and CEO Enablers Saqib Azhar also signed an MoU on this occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said a major part of our population consists of youth. “Most of the youngsters wished to attain a govt job but the skilled youth also enjoyed a prosperous life”.

Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Fuad Hashim Rabbani on this occasion said that Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab has signed several MoUs with Punjab Information Technology Board just to provide maximum job opportunities to our youth. “The e-Commerce Project is being launched for imparting top level training to our potential youth”.

In his address, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said that the future of our country is closely linked with our youth and we are making effective efforts to make the future of our youth bright. “Our talented youngsters are fully availing the e-Rozgaar and e-Commerce Projects. The young speakers presented wonderful speeches on the topic of independent youth,” he added.

Over 150 male and female students from several universities and colleges attended the debate competition on the topic of ‘Role of Youth and Economic Issues of Independent Pakistan’. Ibrar Abul Hasan, Zaidur Rehman and

Hammad got the top three positions in the debate competition. Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti awarded certificates cash prizes of Rs 15000, 10000 and 5000 among the top position holders respectively. GM Shah, Bushra Jabeen, Salman Tariq and M Sufian were the judges of the debate competition.

Director General Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Sajid Latif on this occasion said that the e-Rozgar Centres across the province are not less than a blessing for our talented youth. “Pakistan is placed 4th in the biggest Youth Market of the world. Our youth is quite talented and we are always available for the guidance of our youth”.

CEO Enablers Saqib Azhar said that Pakistan’s 63 percent population is youth and every year around 40 lakh youth reach the age of earning their livelihood. “We launched e-Commerce Programme three years ago to entertain such a large number of youth. And now a large number of youth are taking benefit from this programme”.
