Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh inaugurates Riaz Hussain Malik Girls Cricket Tournament

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh has said that Sports Board Punjab is preparing a nursery of young talented players. We are tracing fresh talent by holding training camps of different games; he expressed these views while talking to media at the inaugural ceremony of Riaz Hussain Malik Girls Cricket Tournament at Lahore College for Women University on Tuesday.

Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti, Director Sports Lahore College for Women University Humera Mughal, drama producer Sakhi Sarwar Butt and famous artist Qaiser Piya were also present on this occasion.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, who inaugurated the Riaz Hussain Malik Girls Cricket Tournament, said Sports Board Punjab is collaborating with all organizations and departments for the promotion and development of sports culture among the young generation. “Lahore College for Women University has made excellent arrangements for the holding of Riaz Hussain Malik Girls Cricket Tournament”.

He appreciated the efforts of Director Sports Lahore College for Women University Humera Mughal for organizing cricket tournament and game of female cricketers.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh further said Sports Board Punjab is organizing 2-month training camps of tennis, taekwondo and swimming in search of talented young male and female players.

Answering a question, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said: “We are making collective efforts for the promotion of sports. We will say welcome to anybody who has a good plan for the growth of sports culture in the province. We will extend every kind of cooperation for this noble cause”.

The participating players also had photographs with Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, who also distributed prizes among the top performers of the event.
