Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti grieved over death of former hockey Olympian Naveed Alam

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti has expressed his deep grief and sorrow on the death of former hockey Olympian and member of 1994 Sydney World Cup-winning national team Naveed Alam, who passed away after his battle with blood cancer on Tuesday.

Paying rich tributes to Naveed Alam, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said Naveed Alam, who also represented Pakistan in 1996 Atlanta Olympics and coached Pakistan, China and Bangladesh hockey teams, was a great player and human being as well. His services for the promotion of hockey will be remembered for a long time.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti, in his condolence message, conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the members of the bereaved family and prayed that may Allah Almighty shower His blessings on the departed soul and give strength and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
