Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh has condoled the demise of former hockey Olympian Naveed Alam, who breathed his last on Tuesday after his battle with blood cancer.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said that the death of Naveed Alam, who also represented Pakistan in 1996 Atlanta Olympics and was a member of Pakistan team that won 1994 World Cup at Sydney, is a great loss of Pakistan hockey.
In his condolence message on Tuesday, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh expressed his sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed to Allah Almighty to grant them courage to bear this great loss with fortitude. He also prayed for the boon of the departed soul.
