Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti inaugurates new office of Punjab Olympic Association at National Hockey Stadium

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti inaugurated the new office of Punjab Olympic Association at National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.

President Punjab Olympic Association Amir Jan, Secretary Punjab Olympic Association Idris Haider Kh, Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti, representatives of sports federations and associations and other sports personalities were also present on this occasion.

Talking to media on this occasion, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said the new office of Punjab Olympic Association has been equipped with all modern facilities and this factor will help a lot in promoting sports further in the province.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said: “The demise of Olympian Naveed Alam is a big loss for Pakistan hockey. He was a versatile player. Punjab govt took immediate steps for the treatment of hockey legend Naveed Alam but unfortunately he could not survive. We will take all necessary measures for the welfare of Naveed Alam’s family”.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti further said that the preparations for South Asian Games are completed. “We are making the best arrangements for the South Asian Games”.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said a sufficient amount has been allocated for the welfare of sports legends and veterans in the first ever Sports Policy of Punjab. “Several sports grounds and High Performance Centres are being built across the province”.

Answering a question, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said that the report of 5-Star Hotel in Nishtar Park Sports Complex has been sent to PPP Authority and the authority has appointed an advisor for this purpose.
