Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh has said that Kashmiri people are creating history with their fight for freedom and independence.

He said Pakistan nation stands with them and India cannot suppress their straggle for independence of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. “With its cruel and aggressive measures in held valley and by removing the special status of the occupied valley, India has shown its hypocritical face to the world,” Adnan pointed out.

He further stated that Indian move is tantamount to depriving the Kashmiri people of their basic rights, he said this before media while representing Sports Board Punjab at the Kashmir Exploitation Day rally organized by the Punjab government yesterday.

Former Test cricketer Saeed Ajmal, International kabaddi player Shafiq Chishti, Director Admin on behalf of Sports Board Punjab Javed Chauhan and others also participated in the rally. Participants held Kashmir and Pakistan flags.

Adnan added that India has targeted Kashmiri brothers, sisters, children and elders. “The mountains of oppression have been broken by India with a brutal approach but the spirit of independence among Kashmiris could not be repressed. On August 5 last year, India deprived the Kashmiri people of their basic rights by removing the special status of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir under an unconstitutional and illegal measure.”

Against the Indian move, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced to observe Kashmir Exploitation Day and Sports Board Punjab has also fully participated in the campaign.

National players also participated in the rally to show solidarity with Kashmiri brothers. Everyone in Pakistan is with Kashmiri people. With the spirit with which the Kashmiri people are fighting for independence, India should understand that it will not be able to maintain its hold on Kashmir for long and eventually Kashmir will be free and part of Pakistan, he said.
