Sports Board Punjab to hold Schools Tennis Championship in near future to trace potential tennis players: Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said the holding of Servaid Punjab Junior National Tennis Championship is a positive development especially in a bid to find young talented tennis players; he expressed these views while addressing the prize distribution ceremony of Servaid Punjab Junior National Tennis Championship 2020 that concluded here at Bagh-e-Jinnah Courts. Punjab Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA) Secretary Rashid Malik, Assistant Director Raisur Rehman and a large number of young tennis players were also present on this occasion. Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. He was warmly received upon reaching Bagh-e-Jinnah tennis court. He also distributed prizes among the position holders and had group photographs with them.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said that Sports Board Punjab is going to organize several sports events in near future to provide young talented players sufficient opportunities to flourish. “Lawn tennis is a popular game in the country and Sports Board Punjab will hold Schools Tennis Championship and grassroots level championship in near future to trace potential tennis players from different schools.”

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh further said that promoting tennis at grassroots level is our target and in this regard Sports Board Punjab is going to sign an MoU with PLTA for the establishment of tennis academy. “Sports Board Punjab is fully cooperating with Punjab Lawn Tennis Association for the promotion of tennis in Punjab. We also extended full support for the holding of Servaid Punjab Junior National Tennis Championship”.
