Discipline being brought at grassroots level to bring maximum number of young players in grounds: Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh has said that discipline is being brought at grassroots level sports to bring maximum number of young players in grounds across the province; he expressed these views while addressing at the exhibition cricket match played between Multan City U-16 cricket team and visiting Pak Shama Cricket team Doha, Qatar at Nawan Shehr cricket ground, Multan on Monday.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh was the chief guest at the exhibition cricket match and was warmly received upon reaching Nawan Shehr cricket ground Multan.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh while welcoming the visiting Pak Shama Cricket team Doha, Qatar said that it’s definitely nice step of District Sports Department to hold exhibition cricket match. “The tour of Pak Shama Cricket team Doha, Qatar is highly encouraging development and it will help a lot in promoting sports among young generation”.

“Sports Board Punjab is also taking useful measures to polish the talent of young players. Sports competitions are being organized every month and modern sports facilities are being provided to participating players”.

Multan City U-16 cricket team defeated visiting Pak Shama Cricket team Doha, Qatar by 32 runs in at Nawan Shehr cricket ground, Multan exhibition cricket match.

Multan City U-16 cricket team scored 222 runs for the loss of four wickets while playing first. Arfat Minhas scored 65, Uzair Mumtaz 35 and Adeeb Yaseen contributed 31 runs. Hussain Muhammad and Maalik got two and one wicket respectively for Pak Shama Cricket team Doha, Qatar.

In reply, Pak Shama Cricket team Doha, Qatar managed only 190 runs. Hussain Muhammad, Akmal Mir and Bismillah Khan were their prominent scorers with 60, 50 and 22 runs respectively. Bilal Khan captured three wickets while Sikander Khan and M Bilal took two wickets each for Multan City U-16 cricket team.

Hussain Muhammad and Uzair Mumtaz were adjudged best batsman and best all-rounder of the match. Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh distributed prizes among the players and match officials.

Meanwhile, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh distributed kits and jaguars among the players of Chief Minister Cricket Academy in Dera Ghazi Khan.
