Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh visited Faisalabad yesterday to inspect sports development schemes across the division.
Before his inspection, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh chaired an important meeting at Iqbal Stadium. The meeting was attended by Divisional Sports Officer Tariq Nazir, District Sports Officer Rana Hammad, DSOs Iqbal, M Imran, M Jameel, Rabia Rishi and tehsil sports officers and senior coaches of different games.
Moreover, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh also had a meeting with Commissioner Faisalabad Mahmood Javed Bhatti and discussed various issues relating to promotion of sports. Commissioner Faisalabad Mahmood Javed Bhatti also visited hockey ground on the instruction of Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh.
Divisional Sports Officer Tariq Nazir briefed Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh about the status of various sports projects.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh also visited under-construction hockey ground and asked the concerned officials to send the summary of hockey turf issue so that the issue could be resolved as quickly as possible.
Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh also reviewed the existing and under-process sports facilities in other districts of Faisalabad division.
He urged the Sports Officers to hold regular sports competitions at Divisional, District and tehsil level in Faisalabad. “It’s the only way to provided sufficient opportunities to talented youth of the far-flung areas.”
Talking to media on this occasion, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said govt is putting special emphasis on sports. “We are establishing best sports infrastructure at tehsil level to bring the talented youth towards sports activities”.
