Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood inaugurates ‘Hara Bhara Naya Pakistan’ tree plantation campaign 31 Aug, 2019

Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood inaugurated the ‘Hara Bhara Naya Pakistan’ tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling at a grand colourful opening ceremony at National Hockey Stadium on Saturday.

‘Hara Bhara Naya Pakistan’ tree plantation campaign was launched under the auspices of Sports Board Punjab (SBP) and Divisional Sports Office Lahore.

Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood was the Chief Guest at the launching ceremony. Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, Director Admin Javed Chohan, Chairman Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Yasir Gillani, Divisional Sports Officer Nadeem Qaiser, Director Sports Shahid Nizami, several dignitaries and a large number of children were also present on this occasion.

Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood thanked Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh for making excellent arrangements for ‘Hara Bhara Naya Pakistan’ campaign. He also lauded Huawei officials and large number of children for taking part in this valuable tree plantation drive.

Thousands of saplings will be planted under ‘Hara Bhara Naya Pakistan’ campaign at different grounds of Lahore.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh and Chairman Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Yasir Gillani also planted saplings under the ‘Hara Bhara Naya Pakistan’ tree plantation campaign at National Hockey Stadium.

Addressing the ceremony, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said ‘Hara Bhara Naya Pakistan’ tree plantation campaign is being launched under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan to make the whole country green and clean. “The prime objective of this campaign is to make the environment of the country clean and pollution-free”.

Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said: “Our govt won huge appreciation from the world after planting a billion trees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and now we are going to plant 10 million trees under ‘Hara Bhara Naya Pakistan’ campaign”.

Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said PTI govt has controlled the situation to a great extent in the country as a result of revolutionary measures taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan. “We are committed to make the country green through massive tree plantation. Not only this, but our govt is making Pakistan prosperous on economic, administrative and education fronts,” he added.

Highlighting govt’s efforts for Khamiris, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said our govt under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan is raising the voice for Kashmiris at every forum. “We are quite confident that our efforts will bear fruits in near future and the Khamiris will be liberated from the unjustified occupation of India,” he asserted.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, on this occasion expressed his determination that ‘Hara Bhara Naya Pakistan’ tree planting drive will prove to be a great success. “Every citizen of the country must take part in this campaign with full dedication. Trees help a lot in cleaning the environment and we can combat with climatic challenges in a befitting manner through this campaign”.

Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh said this drive will lead to develop a clean and green culture across the country.
