Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar visited Minhaj-ul-Quran International on Tuesday night and had fruitful discussion with Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI and Deputy Chairman of Board of Governors of Minhaj University, Dr Hasan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman Supreme Council Minhaj-ul-Quran International for the promotion of sports. Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar was accompanied by Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti, Deputy Directors Tariq Wattoo, Rauf Bajwa, Jawadullah, PRO SBP Abdul Rauf and Haji Ishaq during his visit. Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar was warmly received and given full protocol by Director Media Shahzad Rasool, central information secretary Noorullah Siddiqui and deputy secretary information Abdul Hafeez upon reaching at Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Dr Hasan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Nazm-e-Aala of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Khuram Nawaz Gandapur had separate meetings with Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar and condoled the death of his elder brother Mubashar Sarwar. They also offered fateha for late Mubashar Sarwar.
Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar was the chief guest at grand iftar party at Shehr-e-Ittikaaf where around 10,000 people offered fateha for late Mubashar Sarwar. During his visit, Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar visited various parts of Minhaj-ul-Quran International including Gosha-e-Darood, Library and other departments.
While talking to Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Dr Hasan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar informed that Sports Board Punjab is planning to establish a sports school for under-16 players. “Sports Board Punjab is utilizing all of its resources for the promotion of sports in the province. We recently organized Punjab Games and Annual Sports Calendar activities after a gap of eight years,” he added. Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar further said that effective efforts are being made for the introduction of true sports culture in Punjab province. “Providing top class sports facilities to all parts of province is our top priority,” he explained.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Dr Hasan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri lauded the endeavours of Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar for the promotion of sports in the province. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din expressed the hope that sports culture will flourish in Punjab under the visionary leadership of Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din, on this occasion, informed that Minhaj-ul-Quran International’s ten thousand male and female students also participated in several sports competitions in the past. He said: “It’s good luck of the Punjab youth to have a hard-working and committed officer like Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar”.
