Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar said Punjab has plenty of sports talent and the successful holding of 2nd Quaid-i-Azam Wushu and Darts Cup is definitely a healthy sign for the future of these games in the province. Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar, in a statement on Monday, said young male and female wushu and dart players offered marvelous performances in the event organized under the aegis of Sports Board Punjab (SBP) at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall. DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar said Sports Board Punjab will extend every kind of assistance for the organization of more such events in the province. “Wushu is an emerging game in our country and it is quite popular among the young generation of Pakistan. Players from all nine divisions of the province participated in the event which reflected the great craze of young generation in this sport”. DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar lauded the performance of wushu and dart players in the 2-day event. “Young boys and girls won huge appreciation for their glorious skills in wushu and darts. Our players also have great potential in other games”. DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar said Divisional Sports Officer Nadeem Qaiser and SBP management team did hard work for the success of 2nd Quaid-i-Azam Wushu. “I congratulated them for holding the 2nd Quaid-i-Azam Wushu Cup in a professional manner. The wushu players from across the province exhibited their skills during the event which is quite encouraging development”.
