Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar reviewed the existing sports facilities in Lahore, Sahiwal and Faisalabad divisions in an important meeting at National Hockey Stadium. Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti and Divisional, District and Tehsil Sports Officers of Lahore, Sahiwal and Faisalabad also attended the meeting. The meeting was convened to review the existing sports facilities in various tehsils of above-mentioned divisions. District Sports Officers briefed the DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar about the current facilities in their respective districts. Addressing the meeting, Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar said Punjab govt, under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, will utilize all resources to provide best sports facilities to the talented youth at tehsil level. “Potential male and female players are undoubtedly our asset and we will offer them every opportunity to sharpen their skills,” he added. DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar said providing best sports facilities to youth is our prime obligation and that’s why we are reviewing sports facilities at tehsil level. DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar urged all the DSOs to maintain the existing sports facilities in their respective areas. “These sports facilities have been built for the youth of the province and its top responsibilities of the DSOs to look after these sports venues properly,” he stressed.
