Punjab educational institutions will also take part in Annual Sports Calendar: DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar

Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar has said that sports activities are being revived across the country. Sports Board Punjab is also involving educational institutions in its Annual Sports Calendar throughout the province; he expressed these views while addressing the prize distribution ceremony of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Gujranwala Annual Sports day. Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar was the chief guest on this occasion and distributed prizes among the position holder students and coaches. Chairman Educational Board Dr Mukhtar Ahmed and Divisional Sports Officer Kh Saif ur Rehman accorded warm welcome to DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar upon his arrival in the ceremony.
Addressing the prize distribution ceremony, DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar said the trend of sports will develop among the students of different schools and colleges after the inclusion of educational institutions in SBP Annual Sports Calendar. “The U-16 players of various games will get enough opportunity to express their talent in SBP Annual Sports Calendar competitions,” he added. He said the heads of govt and private educational institutions, who brought the male and female students towards healthy sports activities, deserved full appreciation for their great service”. DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar further said that Gujranwala’s sports venues are laced with excellent facilities and the talented players of this area are taking full advantage of these top class facilities. “The local players exhibited wonderful performances during the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Gujranwala Annual Sports day competitions”. DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar announced to award track suits and joggers to prominent male and female students. Chairman Educational Board Dr Mukhtar Ahmed presented a souvenir to DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar on this occasion.
