The 1st Islamic Countries Women Sports Games held in Tehran (Iran) from 13-19 February, 1993. 407 athletes in eight different sports took part in the first edition of the Games from such countries as Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tadjikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Pakistan, maldives, Malaysia, Syria and I.R. Iran.
A 21-member Pakistani contingent participated in 3 events including athletics, badminton and table tennis.
